How Sightline Windows & Doors Parkland Was Born in Parkland
We remember the exact afternoon in 2012 when we knew Parkland needed something different. A homeowner on Holmberg Road had called us in desperation. Three other companies had quoted her replacement windows, and each quote had ballooned by thousands once the crew arrived. She was sitting on her porch in late September heat, holding three different contracts with three different final numbers, none of them matching the first conversation.
We had been working in the trade for years already, and we’d watched this pattern repeat. The showroom price, the “estimate,” the discovery of “unforeseen conditions” - it was standard practice, and it was wrong. That afternoon, we opened our notebook and wrote down what became the core of this branch: the measured survey the customer keeps, and the price that doesn’t move. We called Sightline that week because we wanted to bring that standard to Parkland specifically. This city was building fast, homeowners were investing real money in their properties, and they deserved to know what they were paying before anyone touched their walls.
The name mattered to us. A sightline is the visible edge of glass inside the frame - the part you actually see, the part you’re paying for. One word that means the same thing to the installer and the homeowner. That precision is what we promised to bring to every house in Parkland.
Sonia Raman’s Personal Connection to the Windows & Doors Trade
I got into this work because I like knowing how things fit together. Not the theory of it - the actual physical reality of a frame settling into a rough opening, of weatherstripping compressing just enough, of glass expanding in August heat and contracting in January. My hands learned before my head did.
The tradesman who trained me was older, impatient, exacting. He worked out of a truck that smelled like aluminum shavings and silicone sealant. I remember the first time I helped him remove a rotted wood window in a house near Coconut Creek - the way the frame crumbled, the way daylight poured through gaps that had been hidden by trim for twenty years. The homeowner stood behind us with her arms crossed, watching her wall become a hole. I understood then that this work is intimate. You’re not installing a product. You’re restoring someone’s sense of shelter.
That was over a decade ago now. I’ve measured windows in Parkland homes during hurricane prep season, when the air is thick and the homeowners are anxious. I’ve been in attics in Coral Springs where the original aluminum frames had baked for forty summers. I’ve seen what happens when a door is out of plumb by half an inch and the homeowner has been shoving it closed for six years. The work doesn’t bore me. The physics don’t bore me. Every house is slightly different, every solution requires looking at what’s actually there.
If I weren’t doing this, I’d probably be making furniture in a small shop somewhere, working with wood that doesn’t have to keep out rain. But windows and doors have the advantage of urgency. Someone calls because their sliding door won’t lock, because their bedroom is too loud, because their energy bill is inexplicable. You can solve that. You can show them the measurement, install the thing, and they sleep better that night. That’s what gets me up in the morning.
Meet Sonia Raman - The Person Behind Every Job

I’m Sonia Raman, Owner and Founder of Sightline Windows & Doors Parkland. I’ve spent my career in the window and door trade, starting with field installation and moving into project management and measured surveying before opening this branch. My training came from years of hands-on work with aluminum, vinyl, and impact-rated systems, including factory certifications from PGT and CGI that I maintain through continuing education.
What separates me from a corporate technician is simple: I live here. My truck is parked in Parkland. I shop at the same stores as my customers. I understand the local wind-load requirements because I’ve pulled permits at the same building department. On weekends, I’m usually on the water - kayak fishing in the Intracoastal when the weather allows - and that patience translates to how I work. I don’t rush a measured survey. I don’t rush an installation.
My commitment to every customer is direct: I personally review every written quote before it leaves this office, and I’m available to discuss any detail until you understand exactly what you’re buying.
Before
AfterOur Promise to Parkland Homeowners
Our values aren’t abstract. They’re policies with names.
Have it in writing. Every quote is a flat price with a written scope and written warranty before anyone starts. This comes from watching too many homeowners sign vague proposals and get surprised later. We use the Haven Standard Clause 1: the measured survey you keep, so the number cannot move.
Arrive on schedule. We give a real window, a named technician, and a text when they’re on the way. Not “sometime Tuesday.” Not a four-hour block. Specificity respects your time.
Verified crews. Every pro working under our name is required to hold the license and insurance Florida requires. We document it. Their license numbers are available.
Evidence on every job. Photos and readings of what we actually found. Not a sales pitch - documentation you can see.
No surprises. No door upsell, no scope creep, no “while we’re in here.” The price we write is the price you pay.
Our Credentials

- State-licensed - required for all window and door installation work in Florida; our license is current and in good standing
- Insured & bonded - general liability and workers compensation coverage protect your property and our crew
- Years of local experience - serving Parkland and surrounding Broward and Palm Beach County communities since 2012
- Strong local reputation - built through documented work and customer-verified results, not marketing claims
These credentials matter because window and door installation involves structural openings, wind-load compliance, and workers on ladders at your home. A homeowner hiring someone to cut into their wall needs to know the person carrying the policy is the person who will answer if something goes wrong. State licensing means we’ve demonstrated competency to Florida regulators. Insurance means you’re not exposed if an accident happens on your property. Local experience means we understand the specific challenges of Parkland homes - the humidity, the hurricane code cycles, the HOA architectural review processes in communities like Heron Bay and Parkland Golf & Country Club.
Rooted in Parkland
This branch serves Parkland first, then Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Margate, North Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Tamarac, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, Sunrise, Lighthouse Point, and Lauderdale Lakes. We know the difference between a Parkland home near Pine Trails Park and a Deerfield Beach condo facing the Intracoastal - different codes, different exposures, different expectations.
We work Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM. When you call (754) 205-3820, you’ll reach our live coordinator who connects you with our local team. We don’t pretend to be from everywhere. We’re from here, working to a standard that travels well.
